 "Super radio" 2009-05-25
By drico martinez
I think this radio is amazing. I read many reviews and saw many people complaining about it, but I am very happy with it. It connects very quickly to the network and I'm amazed at all the stations I can get from around the world. I've lived in several different countries around the and now I can listen to my favorite stations from them while sitting in the US. I've preset some of my favorites and listen to them every day. This is a great feature (though it is too bad you can only have 8 presets from 10,000 stations). If what you want is a regular radio, I can understand this not for you, but if you want to be able to choose from thousands of stations around the world, this is a great radio. It is not difficult to program or figure out.

"Revo BWF Blik WiFi Internet Radio (Black)" 2009-05-09

Great product. Nice to have a WIDE selection of stations. Be prepared for some buffer issues - just like you have when you play stations online.

 "Can't encode certain stations" 2009-03-12
By Nathaniel U. Hill (Hoosierland)
I was treated very fairly by the folks at Revo when my refurb developed bugs.

But the main reason I bought my Revo Blik Wi-Fi was to receive one particular station, WSM-AM in Nashville, Tennessee.

The station can be encoded by WinAmp, Windows Media Player, and my Aluratek Internet Radio (purchased when the Revo failed to do the one job I bought it for).

The Blik simply reports "network error."

I agree with several other reviewers that report this product has bugs. It isn't doing much for me right now.

 "Disappointing" 2009-03-10
By M. Bernhart (Phnom Penh, Cambodia)
I have enjoyed very limited use as a wifi/internet radio. Connects to internet stations one out of nine attempts (since I started keeping count) and each attempt is time consuming. Easy to spend 8-10 minutes connecting. And then, salt in the wound, it often drops a station after 15-20 minutes. And waits for you to re-initiate its futile ritual of connecting.

In addition to quibbles cited by others re design:

After a power outage (frequent here) it saves all settings except time which resets to 1200. Consequently, cannot be relied on as an alarm.

Difficult to operate as a clock/nightstand radio. The many flat buttons are indistinguishable to the touch and they are unlit.

Given the low likelihood (1:9) that it will connect with an internet station, the wake-up has to be a local FM station.

It turns out to be an expensive low quality clock radio.

 "Needs some work." 2009-01-28
By Daniel J. Berky (Waltham, Massachusetts)
This WiFi Radio uses the Reciva Website as the primary server. Reciva; located in the UK, is the better of the two major service providers for WiFi Radios.

This particular radio has major firmware issues at the present time. It will spontaneously disconnect itself from the network at random intervals and then either reconnect or fail to reconnect.

For radios in this price range, I would recommend the CCrane model over this one.
